Officer Jones graduated from Bensalem High School in 1989 and attended a Criminal Justice course at Chapman University in California while serving in the U.S. Navy for seven years. Chris was honorably discharged from the Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd Class in 1996. After leaving the Navy, he returned to Bucks County and worked at the Bucks County Prison for two years as a Corrections Officer. Chris became a Patrolman for Middletown Township in 1998. He is the first officer to lose his life in the line of duty in the history of the Middletown Township Police Department.

Officer Jones was known throughout the community for his dedication to duty, his love of family, his compassion and respect for all human-kind. He will be missed by all who knew and worked with him. He leaves behind his wife Suzanne, and three children, Christopher, Julianne and Brandon.
